No idea what that show is about but it's now one of my favorites.
Milana Vayntrub, a nice Jewish girl born in Uzbekistan, formerly of the USSR. Her family moved to the US when she was three, fleeing religious persecution.

Indeed I did. It used to be a contest to see how high you could get them. My post was a euphemism for other than socks.
Admittedly, I only started watching it bc of my wife, but it is really an excellent show. It was a bonus several episodes in when she popped up in a recurring role.
