I realize spring training hasn't fully even begun, but hey, if they can project winning candidates in elections with 1% of the vote in, why not?

I realize too that injuries and performance in spring training will influence who comes north and even the early season schedule, whether Hurdle goes with 10 or 11 pitchers, etc. can factor in as well.

In looking at the Pirates spring training roster and thinking about who is going to come north, unless an injury I would think these are locks to come north:

8 P: Starters: Cole, Liriano, Locke, Niese, and Vogelsong
Bullpen: Hughes, Melancon, Watson (obviously at least two if not three more pitchers and I would think likely at least one more left-hander will likely come north).

2 C: Cervelli and Stewart
6 IF: Harrison, Jaso, Kang, Mercer, Morse, Rodriguez
3 OF: Marte, McCutchen, Polanco
That’s 19.

Here are the remaining players at Bradenton (if I accidentally omitted someone I apologize):
C: Elias Diaz, Ed Easley, Reese McGuire, and Jacob Stallings.
IF: Josh Bell, Juan Diaz, Cole Figueroa, Pedro Florimon, Adam Frazier, Dan Gamache, Jake Goebbert, Alan Hanson, Max Moroff, Gift Ngoepe, and Jason Rogers.
OF: Willy Garcia, Danny Ortiz, Harold Ramirez, and Antoan Richardson
LHP: Steven Brault, Jim Fuller, Kyle Lobstein, Corey Luebke, Kelvin Marte, Eric O’Flaherty, and Robert Zarate.
RHP: Arquimedes Caminero, Neftali Feliz, Tyler Glasnow, Trey Haley, John Holdzkom, Nick Kingham, Guido Knudson, Chad Kuhl, Juan Nicasio, Curtis Partch, Jorge Rondon, Rob Scahill, A.J. Schugel, Jameson Taillon and Trevor Williams.

So who else do you think will be coming north with the club?

If I had to guess - if everyone stays healthy:

Goebbert and Rogers make the trip north, along with a strong infield glove - probably Florimon

The bullpen arms will be up in the air, and some of it will likely depend on who has options (and I am too lazy to look up that info right now) - - - so best guesses;
Caminero and Feliz are locks ( assuming healthy).....and I'll go with Lobstein as the last guy

I am assuming they use an 11 man staff for the early going (given the number of off days) but they will likely fontina 12 man staff before April is over
