on season 3 (Netflix) right now.... pretty accurate stuff, I was knee deep in HS football for 8-9 years.
*The QB dad berating and relentlessly dogging the frosh QB (kid named JD), micro-managing his life.. I've been around one of the worst QB dads in history and this stuff is dead on.. I could write a book on this topic. Having a QB son seems to turn even the best people into a-holes for whatever reason. I remember one TV game we played where the dad literally sat and screamed for 15 mins telling his son to stop playing like a female body part that many people are actually fond of...
*I think the "Smash's mom" is a great actress.. I wish more single mom's were as wise as her.. I would have like an opposite character of a young hip mom who was her polar opposite.. in many cases I find that parents are far worse than the kids..
*Voodoo and his handlers looking for the best situation.. ohh yea.. that happens daily
*the Head Coach is dead on, he would be in the top 10% ethics wise though from what I've been around.
*I've seen many a kid like the diminutive QB #7... kids that fall in and out of football throughout their time playing..with a good notion that the end is near as far as playing days go
*#33 I've seen that kid plenty of times, 37 guys from the sticks in East San Diego who played at Grossmont JC in the last 10 years were just like him
Overall, a really solid show.-sg
