I know. It's horrible. I'm not sure how I will get through my day knowing that Splash Mountain will never be the same. My world is shattered.
Yeah that was exactly what I was getting at. Stick to picking point spreads idiot savant.

Given the presence of the internet and countless history books, do you think it is possible to change/hide history?
What historical facts are you most concerned about being changed/erased?
Yep. Now they are just calling themselves "The".
Ah name calling. The last bastion of the defeated. I wish you the best in your recovery from this terrible Splash Mountain incident.Yeah that was exactly what I was getting at. Stick to picking point spreads idiot savant.
You would have to remove all references to the historical facts in question on the entire www. Can you explain how someone would go about doing that? The internet and media makes changing history instantaneous.

That is not true. All you need is to do ia publish alternative facts. Like CNN or Fox.
Look at Paterno for example

Yup just make it more confusing for anyone to figure out which part is true and which isn't.

Rewriting history does take a long time, but they’re off to a good start. As those history books disappear and things are taken off the internet, it gets harder and harder to challenge disinformation. What’s next, are they going to demand we tear down statues of historical figures who helped get rid of slavery....oh wait, never mind. You are confusing current events with historical events.
Even if a news organization tries to publish erroneous facts about a historical event, there is still plenty of documentation on the internet and history books to challenge any disinformation.

Zipity Do Da!
Uh... you can't say that. Don't you know if you quote an academy award winning song featured in a ride that has characters from a movie that if you do enough research could be considered racist... that you're a racist?!?!
It's really not about me being offended. It's about seeing things through the eyes of an African American. If certain statues or monuments or whatever, are symbols of past racism and oppression then I can see where they would be very bothered. Perhaps removal of some statues or some name changes will be a symbolic gesture that this country is serious about confronting racism and unfair treatment of African Americans.CNN told Grant Green to be offended. So he googled it and almost offed himself right then and there...but who would pay reparations if he did that? No, he had to keep plugging along, flouting his guilt at first chance on his favorite forum.

Abe Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt? Symbols of past racism and oppression? Seriously? This isn’t about gestures....it’s political. It's really not about me being offended. I understand and I don't agree with everything that is being removed/changed. In the end, I see most of those things (like Splash Mountain) as being insignificant collateral damage. I think we can own our past and still make some symbolic concessions that help unite the country without changing history. That's a fine sentiment my friend. My only pushback is that some minorities are always going to be pissed because that's human nature and some people are pieces of shit. If you can draw the line between, "yup - Nathan Bedford Forrest has got to go" and "while we're at it, let's tear down this statue of Abe Lincoln." At a certain point we need to own the past and realize that you need to measure things as they were back then. Lincoln lost his life fighting slavery, but I've seen some BLM things saying his statues are problematic. You cant bow down to the mob.
Sorry I called you an idiot earlier. I'm really a 4th grader sometimes
