OT: Harper's injury last night and those pesky pants....

I suppose the young defenders of this ridiculous pants style are going to try to tell me that the heel of his shoe did not catch the bottom of his pants. Although, I don't know why anybody would realistically try.

I hate these pants. Hate 'em.

There's nothing I've seen, heard, or read that indicates the pants caught on his heel. It had rained, so the grass was slick. But, for the record I don't like the long pants either. It looks like the players have spats on their shoes. I'm a traditionalist, and so is Harper a good portion of his games.

The pants are made to have a small elastic loop on the bottom attached inside at the hem. Players pull the loop over their back cleat to appear that the pant leg is under their show but it really isnt. Its actually a smart idea and makes it safer so they dont trip on them

Here's other uniform things I hate: Baseball caps worn over the ears or cocked slightly to the side. I'm watching the Nats-Pirates game and note that Pirates 1B Alvarez wears his cap over his ears. I'm not crazy about flat brims, either. They need to be bent at least slightly. Old school all the way!
