Weather Models just pumped out a nice hit for snow on wednesday night into thursday morning. At this point I would say a solid call would be a 4-7/5-8 type storm with possibility of 10 inches of snow for ABE into NNJ... Starting down towards Lancaster up throught ABE into NNJ for the axis of heaviest amounts. Up to Scranton and down to philly a 4-7 type storm and even southern NJ could start as rain and move into a 3-5 inch type of storm. That's if the current track holds... will see how next couple runs come out...

Thanks, but the way I look at it, it's winter. In the winter it snows sometimes. I never understand how the media treats every snow storm like a cataclysmic event. It's winter. It snows in winter.

Because it drives ratings... if no one cared or didn't watch or listen they would cover other news. Like it or not it drives ratings just like murder and rape. They have tried positive news coverage and minimal news coverage of the bad things and ratings tank... viewers like certain coverage's like it or not

Any good sites that show the different weather models?

I watched EPAWA's video update today and it seemed that there wasn't much agreement between models. They will have their first call on snow amounts tonight.

EPAWA used to have a good page where you could look at the different weather models and see the prediction for your city/ county. Looks like they got rid of that section this year.

My wife has the weather channels on ALL DAY when there's a storm. I just shake my head... then inevitably remark and get in trouble.

If I remember correctly, they can't show one of the models due to copyright issues. Don't quote me on the exact reason, but I know for sure it was a legal reason why they can't show all of the models any longer.

I call it weather porn. It's on ABC Nightly News EVERY NIGHT. the sky is falling, like we've never had tornadoes, thunder/snow storms, heat in summer and cold in winter. Sensationalizing weather, like everything else.

Yeah, I know they can't show the Euro ($$) but the rest they used to have on that page. I wonder if the others are following the Euro lead.

I can just imagine that. Honestly, can you think of anything better?

Yes. A young lady in my office brought in bourbon-bacon monkey bread. I had no conflicting emotions, just sheer happiness and satisfaction.

How about the women on The Weather Channel?

Just so people know who are traveling in EPA and NJ snowfall rates at 7am tomorrow morning along the I-95 corridor could well be 3-4 inches an hour basically pure white out conditions. Please be careful anyone traveling this storm is projecting stronger each model run. Plan accordingly and stay safe everyone. Some of the amounts projected are getting large.
