Finally got a chance to see 'Book of Mormon' last week in London and am still singing the songs in my head - so infectious!! I'm a huge fan of South Park and have been forever and of course had heard amazing things about BoM. It absolutely lived up to the hype - the opening number, 'Hello!' is fantastic (as are several other songs, many way too raunchy to sing in public...) and while you could easily see this as a South Park episode (replace Elder Price and Cunningham with Stan and Cartman), by the end it's elevated itself to a place you weren't expecting. Has anyone seen this yet (well, it's been out like five years, but still...)? It's coming to DC this summer and I'm thinking of going again. I will say the show is not for little ones or those turned off by language/general raunchiness. Others will have a blast though!
As an aside, I'm not overly religious or anything and never delved much into Mormonism. Fascinating.....
