I have seen all the older shows that are still playing such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, etc. What newer shows would you highly recommend, knowing that I will only have time to see 2 or 3..Thanks in advance

Depending on your sense of humor, The Book of Morman is hilarious.

Second "Hamilton" and "The Book of Mormon." Also, "Hand to God" and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime."

Also consider Off-Broadway. Entertainment Link is a good site to visit to get a description of all shows.

But if you like dark comedy, see Hand to God. I have seen it twice. Sick storyline with a TALENTED cast.

Hand to God was nominated for a Tony award for best play this morning. Hamilton is currently running off broadway but should be on Broadway when you come this summer. Our production of On the 20th Century was nominated for Best revival of a musical.

Saw Jersey Boys last July 4th weekend. Great show in my opinion. Just saw the movie and it is good as well. That is the sum total of my Broadway experience since 1972.

IF (BIG IF) you can get tickets, you will not see a better play than "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time". Six Tony nominations this morning plus my daughter was the Associate Sound designer so I know how good it is.

Haven't seen it yet, but next show I want to see is An American in Paris.

Wow, I will definitely try to get tickets. If I can't, can your daughter get 2 tickets for me?:)

Saw American in Paris this past weekend. Some amazing dancing and a lot of familiar music. Both leads are principal dancers in ballet companies.
Highly recommended.
