It doesn't get the publicity that the NFL or NBA get, but the MLB draft is always fun to follow. However, this year it may be even more interesting for the Pennsylvanians on the board as there is some serious talent in the state that is predicted to be drafted rather highly.
Last year, Stroudsburg pitcher Mike Nikorak was selected 27th overall by the Colorado Rockies. This year, we have infielder Nolan Jones from Holy Ghost Prep and INF/OF Alex Kirilloff of Plum. Both players are projected to be First round picks between the mid-teens and mid-twenties.
Aside from these two, Valley View RHP Max Kranich is also ranked inside the top 100 prospects by Baseball America (#87)
Could be a nice 2-year string of picks for the Keystone State's prep bats.
