No BS... What's the quickest way to stop the itching? Home remedy, over the counter, whatever it takes. My legs got destroyed this weekend.

Also, if I decide to amputate, how long until I bleed out? Was hoping to at least catch the first half of the Ole Miss game tonight.

Wife has really sensitive skin and the other day suffered about 30 bites on the back of one leg. She rubs them with Dawn (has to be Dawn) and then Benadryl cream.

I agree with @Midnighter . I'm allergic to insect bites. I generally tough it out, but I had a nasty spider bite over the weekend and my foot swelled up so much that it was uncomfortable to wear my running shoe. My wife put some benadryl cream on it. Took care of those nasty histamines almost immediately. Worked like a charm for about 6 hours. Be sure you apply it before you go to sleep. If you don't, the itching will wake you up in the middle of the night.

Baking soda and some water. Make a paste and apply to the bites.

Mosquito Magnet dude.............. It works.

Wife swells up the size of a softball with mosquito and fire ant bites. Starting to figure out our son does too. Benadryl or any antihistamine will work for almost immediate relief. Then just dose as needed. 100000% agree with right before bed. Nothing worse than waking up all night scratching.

Just curious...do those that suffer from massive quantities of bug bites have Rh negative blood? My wife and one daughter have Rh negative and if I sit next to either one I don't get a single bite while they get chewed apart.

Take a hair dryer and run it in your mosquito bite for a few seconds. Not sure why (i think google says something about it) but it works.

If you cut them both off at the knee you'll bleed out in about 1 minute without a tourniquet. That is assuming you can take them both off at the same time. If you take off the entire leg you probably wouldn't get to the second one.

I am lucky because mosquitos do not like me as long as I bring my wife or someone else along they do not bother me. A paste of baking soda seems to work.

I get eaten alive by them, and I have good luck with rubbing alcohol.

My 16 year old daughter says a hot shower stops the itching.

The simplest mint toothpaste will do. Apply some to the bite site and leave for several hours. It will dry the blisters, reduce itching and swelling. I tried such a composition on children's skin, but it helped for a short time. Then we decided to take mosquito spraying atlanta, so we could already walk around the house in peace and enjoy the freshness with the windows open. I didn't think it was possible. We have mosquitoes flying around all the time and the baby was allergic after being bitten. She scratched them until they bled. Hopefully it will be over soon.
