nothing earth shattering so far. A lot of incremental improvements to the cameras, batteries and display.

I used to upgrade my phone every year, or two years at the most. Recently though, I've kept my iPhone X for 3 years and have no plans to get a new one anytime soon. I'm not a power user or serious gamer, so unless the battery starts degrading badly, I just see no compelling reason to upgrade.

Rather than make a separate thread, which would increase my chances of getting an answer I suppose, I'll ask it there. Has anyone tried one of those foldable phones? My phone and my Ipad are getting old so I'm think that instead of replacing both, I could get something that could serve as both a phone and a tablet and only carry one thing around. And if it doesn't fold, it'd probably be a pain to carry around. So I'm thinking foldable phone. Thoughts?

What's the reason for the tablet? Watching shows or longer battery life?

I’ve got some friends that have them and like them but with any feature comes challenges. They talk about it being a little pain in having to deal with its size and opening it up. A friend used to say ‘there is a reason why people don’t drive cars that fly’. Sometimes it makes sense to have both.

i like my phone because it is smallish and goes in my pocket. My iPad is then used for other stuff (actually rarely now). Typically only when I fly. I bought the LG smart TVs and steam everything in them. The iPad, at home, sits in a drawer

I used the Ipad for reading and some net surfing and a little general app use. I mostly use my phone just for phone calls and texts. I find my phone too small to easily do net surfing.

Basically, what I want is a tablet that can do phone calls and texts but that I can carry around in my pocket like a phone rather than carrying like a book, which is what I do with my tablet.

I see. I was going to mention that newer samsung phones have Dex which allows you to connect to a monitor and keyboard to function like a chromebook.

But seems like you like the size of the ipad. In that case the foldables probably would worl well.

Dislike everything and anything Apple. Have and will never own one. Hope yinz all enjoy their newest offering.

I am sticking with the 12 for at least another year or two. I just wish 2 years ago I went with the pro for the better camera, particularly the optical zoom, for better family vacation photos.
