OT: news about a 2015 opponent (hint: it's a service academy)

I must be missing the wierd part....

West Point's new athletics branding is really sharp

Re: Patches are sweet

From the linked article it says the patches could represent positions, but I don't think that's the case. I think Army will put various unit patches on the uniforms at random like they always have.

Re: Patches are sweet

Whiteout against the Black Nights?! That would be great. Student section can do a red/white/blue theme and spell out USA like they have in the past with the S in the middle. It's all lining up perfectly.

Yea I didn't see anything "weird" either and I like the branding.

It would be neat for PSU to honor the corps of cadets in some way....

Maybe we could make small decals like the army division patches Army has on their uniforms and put them on back of PSU's helmets...small token but something worthwhile.

I don't care what it does to strength of schedule, playing a service academy is a special event, although I'm fully biased as my dad is a West Pointer.

If you want a "theme" make it Red White and Blue. A whiteout is a sign of disrespect used for true "opponents". You do not "whiteout" a team you want to show respect for. plus how would that look when we win 60- 6. Army football is really bad.

Athena's helmet and the warrior's sword. -----Army is the number 2 NIKE school behind Oregon, so they get a lot of cool stuff........some stuff more cool than others.
