Just thought it would be appropriate to post an acknowledgement of the recent passing of the 39th President of the US. RIP Jimmy Carter. 🇺🇸

Other than Ike he spent more time in the military than any other 20th century POTUS. He also fearlessly saved a nuclear reactor from a meltdown before he was elected. After leaving office he started Habitat for Humanity, rid the world of guinea worm deaths and volunteered as a Bible School teacher.

There has never been a better man to serve as POTUS.

RIP President Carter.
This (non-political) article RIP Carter
"after he left office he did launch a war against "neglected" diseases — diseases in far-off lands that most Americans will never suffer from and may not have even heard of. Diseases like lymphatic filariasis, trachoma, river blindness, schistosomiasis ... and a nasty little bug called Guinea worm."

I have said for years that while as a President Jimmy Carter wasn't very effective, as an individual he was as good as they come. A man of solid moral compass who never had a sex scandal or the like. Loved his family and was a protector of the downtrodden. RIP President Carter!

I hope this does not derail anything and is not taken as a slam, but merely an observation. He is a perfect example that nice guys do not make good presidents. He was by all accounts terrific human being. Not so successful as a president.
