Just a little PSU story that probably won't get any press, but it makes damn proud anyhow. Midway through this semester, an Architecture professor at Penn State, Marcus Shaffer, came across an article in the NYTimes about an organization that is trying to get people to make prosthetics on 3-D printers and donate them to children in need. After a simple email to the Architecture & Landscape Architecture listserv, a group of students formed a new student club named (PSU Digi-Digits Club) and after several attempts they have printed and assembled their first prosthetic hand for e-NABLE.
