Didn't see him on FINRA, although I am limited on my cell phone. Private equity would be a nice way to dodge transparency and regulatory oversight.

It was Pete "Musser" of Safeguard Scientifics fame. Safeguard Scientifics was the incubator from which ICG and other companies were spun off to the public.

IDK from the link as to what he does, why would he have a securities license? I don’t see he is selling publicly traded (listed) companies. Seems he is just buying and selling non public businesses

I don't know Lubert. He is an investor in the business of an acquaintance, and that person is intimidated by him. I don't know whether I would like him or not, but there are many more villains (and worse ones, IMHO) on the PSU front than Lubert. He has helped the wrestling program substantially, as I believe most know.
One of Iowa’s top wrestling donors who frequents the Hawkeye Report claims that Ira told him face to face that his $5MM donation to was to be used as a slush fund at Cael’s discretion.
That would be a neat trick unless he gave the money to Sanderson directly, in which case Lubert would have difficulty claiming it as a tax deduction among other problems.
That is not an uncommon feeling among people running companies controlled by private equity concerns. Sometimes it's by design, other times it just is. In general, it's not particularly healthy for the business.
It was on the interwebs, Art. Put out there by guys that say PSU cheats with this money, then pass the hat to try to top the funding NLWC have.
I don't doubt it. Just pointing out that the way it's described is impracticable
