They just Flat out suck. Not that that is nothing new. Can they go 0 and 16. Even lose on the final game of the year when they play the steelers. The steelers will be heading to the playoffs and will probably rest everybody. The Browns will still lose.

On another Browns topic should say Saquon Barkley just tell the Cleveland Browns don't draft me, he would actually win some points and maybe send them a wake up call.

They are going QB with their first first rounder, probably the 1st pick of the draft. Barkley won’t fall far enough for them to get where they have their 2nd pick in the first round.

Barkley should not be the only player to tell them so. All the quarterbacks who have another year of eligibility in college should be using this leverage to tell the Browns bleep off

Curious. What is the policy on this if a player flat out refuses to play for a team? How long does the NFL club hold their rights? I am sure agents and GMa hold conversations regarding this stuff ahead of time so that guys sign.

I was just wondering what the rule is on how long a team owns the rights to a player after drafting them.

Thanks!

I think right up until the following year's draft then they go back in.

But the team who gets snubbed should just use common sense. There are other players they can draft. Why cause a cancerous situation.

All that said should the Browns go QB first overall? Heard from some NFL people I know. None of them who will or could come out this year are not top 10 picks.
Maybe their other first rd pick.

Trust The Process?

Lose for 5 years, and accumulate high draft choices?
Exactly, plus a lot of smart trades looking to the future. People laughed at the sixers for several years, but they've positioned themselves very nicely. Ben Simmons would have been stupid to tell them "don't draft me", and it's beginning to show.

Thanks. I thought that might be it. And, correct, a team would be certain to make sure someone is signing with them before using a #1 pick - right Quebec Nordiques?

Wouldn’t shock me if Browns beat the Packers in a few weeks. Hudley is awful.

They also have the Bears too.

Maybe but can you trust a front office tat passed on wentz and deshaun Watson?
I can...They were both far from sure things. And last year, rather than forcing a QB, they went best available. I see them as being on a good track.

None of the quarterbacks in the draft are worthy of the first overall pick in my opinion. If I were them, I’d go Barkley with their first pick and then hope to get one of the following with their second pick: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Mike Mcglinchy, Derwin James. Mcglinchy likely will be gone though by that pick.

I was in Cleveland for work last week and saw on the news that someone submitted the paperwork for a parade if they go 0 -16. If they win a game the parade is cancelled and the money raised goes to charity.

Sam Darnold is the pick, but it seems the experts have said that about most USC qb's in the last 20 years, like qb's from Oklahoma pffffffffft!
