I saw it last night and it was a fun film to see. Nothing hard hitting or serious, just a good time at the movies. Typical Guy Ritchie fare (quick cuts, jazzy music, humor, etc.). Great sets and wardrobe that captures the 1960's. The cinematography was terrific also with great colors and scenery. I knew Cavill plays Superman but forgot Hammer was the Lone Ranger (to me, an underrated and enjoyable film due to Depp's Tonto).they had good onscreen chemistry. Good eye candy for the guys too with Alicia Vikander (the A.I. In the terrific Ex Machina) & Elizabeth Debicki.

Really excited about this and to be honest I've been feeling pretty 'meh' about all the films I saw this summer (admittedly not much - Mad Max and The Avengers, and neither really blew me away, despite being fun to watch). The last movie I really 'loved' was 'Ex Machina', largely because of how good Alicia Vikander is in it. I can't wait to see her in this and Guy Ritchie getting back to his roots is always a good thing.

I was just saying tonight how much I like Guy Ritchie movies

So any Robert Vaughan or David McCallum cameos? I used to watch the show back in the 60's. Are the men from UNCLE still fighting THRUSH? :)

Nope. There does not appear to be a tremendous connection to the T.V. series other than the character names and agency name. It appears to be set up for sequels, but that remains to be seen.
