I watched the first two. Lots of walking around and filler time.

Thought it was interesting in the second episode how a massive laser couldnt blow out a cement beam but could blow down a steel bomb door.

That being said I like it. Definitely building characters and plot. Should be good.

I have spoken.

Only watched episode 1 so far. Kinda had an old Clint spaghetti western vibe to it set in a galaxy far, far away. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

I saw the first three episodes so far. Like it a lot, hope they explain more about who they were and how Boba and Jango fit in. But since they have baby Yoda this must be way before (like 600 years). But the (an?) Empire was in existence, so hoping they explain that too.

Yes that is Favreau's intent.
“The Mandalorian is a mysterious lone gunman in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Some might say that he has questionable moral character which is in line with some of our best Westerns, some good samurai [films]…and he’s a badass.”

Pascal stayed so much on point that he acknowledged having sought inspiration in Clint Eastwood’s characters and in following Favreau’s advice to watch both Kurosawa and Sergio Leone’s spaghetti Westerns.

Favreau has said that The Mandalorianis set five years after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) and 25 years before the rise of the First Order, the authoritarian regime that is firmly in control of the galaxy when Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) begins

The story actually takes place after Episode VI its just a baby of Yoda's race/species. Boba and Jango were just Bounty Hunters wearing Mandalorian Armor

hope that helps

got it- thanks for explaining. Guess i missed the timeline if they had it in the opening sequence of episode 1. Thought it was surely Yoda based on the display of force power.
