To CBS and everyone else who gets camera time discussing the Masters. It's NOT a roar. There are no roars in golf. There are claps. There are sometimes loud cheers. But there are no roars.

So, you didn't watch the Masters? If you did, and were paying

attention at all, you wouldn't have posted that there are no roars at the Masters.

The are certainly roars in golf especially at the Masters. Go watch the youtube clip of Tiger chipping in for birdie on 16 in 2005. There is no way that can be classified as loud cheers.

No clue what you are watching and obviously you don't golf. Ryder Cup?*

You'd feel differently if you attended the event live

You could be acres away and know something really good happened on the other side of the course. I was on 13th fairway when Watson eagled number 2 two years ago and knew something good happened. Then the leaderboard moved Watson two strokes lower and it immediately informed me what happened.

There was a roar in the C concourse Jacksonville airport bar when Spieth's shot on 13 cleared Rae's Creek by about four feet. Immediately drew another couple dozen people in to watch the last few holes. One guy who came in was watching the feed on his phone at his gate, heard the roar from the bar where the tv was on and decided he did not want to find out 20 seconds after the roar what happened.
