OT Time to start stacking firewood: Old Farmer's Almanac says

I thought El Nino' was to give us in the midwest a mild winter and drier than normal!

I'll go with the Farmer's Almanac over the current weather guys. But, I'll wait until later in the fall.

Yeah, according to the whole El Nino thing we should have an easier time of it this year, in Pennsylvania. They are usually not correct, but this prediction seems to have a bit of science behind it.

Got the jump on this yesterday. Dropped three dead ash trees, one of them truly massive, about 20 minutes from my house. Now 80% of that wood is at my house, awaiting the splitter and the rest of it will be here tomorrow. Plus I will knock down 2-3 more trees tomorrow. My friend's property has 30 or so dead mature green/white ash on it which have been dead a year or more. Cut em split em and stick em in the stove. Seasoned on the stump.
