I don't know why, but every time it comes on, I find myself watching it. Its not very good, and yet I can't seem to change the channel. Why?!?

The movie got some good credit with the martial arts / gun community . He just kills people and finishes them off. I think Reeves did a lot of training for the film from what I've heard .

it's Keanu. He has that effect on people. Must be the puppy dog eyes and monotone delivery.

I do find myself watching a lot of his movies. Its like he's so bad, he becomes good. Steve Guttenberg (Mike Cappelletti) has nothing on him.

best action film from last year. it makes no pretensions about being anything other than Keanu killing people who pissed him off

also written and directed by 2 stuntmen, which is why all the action scenes are so fluid and polished

Its supporting cast was great. Willem Dafoe, the mayhem happens guy, the guy from Fringe, the Russian mobster guy, the chick from Marvels Agents of Shield, etc all turned in inspired and fun performances. How does Keanu inspire such performances?

the Russian Mobster played Blomkvist in the Swedish version of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Dafoe was great, so was Ian McShane (hotel owner) and Lance Reddick (hotel concierge)

I could watch Adrianne Palicki all day every day

I liked the black dude who managed the front desk at the Hotel. Talk about unflappable. LOL...

Best scene in the film Baba Yaga tale with Reek from Game of Thrones and the mayhem guy from the Allstate commercials. Plus there is nothing like a good revenge movie, especially when the dude's dog gets killed.

Even my 'anti-violence movie' wife thought it was a great flick. I to watch it whenever it comes on.

I will echo the sentiments of everyone else - I liked it, and could not figure out why - I finally realized that everything, and even the violence, is low key. There is blood and shooting, but as someone else mentioned, it was seamless so it does not stand out, so it seemed low key.

The muscle cars were great also.

SPOILER ALERT:

so many great scenes, but the one that always put a smile on my face . . . .

as Wick is getting ready to attack the bath house, he approaches the larger Russian henchman

they have a polite, slightly friendly conversation when he allows the guy to leave rather than get killed

just the tone of the exchange floors me.

I like the movie too. The unusual thing that caught my attention is that most, not all, but a very high percentage of his kill shots are head shots. Not sure that I've seen that in any other action movies.

Just an observation.

I like it too. Can't convince my wife it's a chick flick.
