OT: Why do they give lollipops out at the bank? Anyone have a clue?

Ever try to get your kids to go to the bank with you? I mean, without the lollipops?

People have to go to the bank and many people have kids with them when they need to bank. Makes life a lot easier for parents.

Because they're worth more than either the blender they gave when you opened your account in the 1980's and the 0% interest your currently earning.:)

I remember this vividly from when I was a kid. Went into the bank with my mother, I guess I was 5 or 6, tops. I get a sucker from the teller. We're leaving and I wanted to eat the sucker and Mom ix-nayed the lollipop consumption, and said no way. She admonished me that they were bad for my teeth.

I said "Then why does the bank hand them out?"

She said "Because the bank doesn't care about your teeth."

So pretty much all my life now, whenever I hear about banks and what's going on with the banking business and so forth, I always keep in mind that no matter what happens, they don't care about my teeth.

Lots of funny answers here. But I hope the OP was also joking. You might as well ask why public restrooms have toilet paper.

Yes, because paper sticks with a 100% sugar topping will certainly accomplish keeping kids quiet.

LOL...they will until later when the sugar kicks in. Just enough time to make a deposit with cash back!
