Unless I'm missing something, the OTT dates are still not set. I have been working off the assumption that it will be April 10-11. At least that is when my hotel reservation at the Hyatt Place is.
Now I know that spectators will be limited or non-existent, but I'm planning to go to State College regardless. I'm basing this off of the following:

1. I believe I will be vaccinated by then.
2. I still have 2 kids at school, so I can visit with them.
3. I want to experience the energy of being in State College while it is going on.
4. I'm hopeful that out of my 10 lower level tickets, maybe I will be allotted a couple of seats.

My contingency plan would be to watch it on TV while in State College. I'm thinking of reserving a meeting room, setting it up with a few AV systems, and hosting a venue to watch with like minded fans. We could arrange food and beverages to be available. If I go this route, who might be interested in watching from there? I do want to do this responsibly. And I do think that I will be able to be vaccinated by April. So...thoughts?

I think I'm in. Not sure about being vaccinated by then... I have good seats and am praying for fan attendance. I like your idea though!

Hard to say with certainty, but this sounds like a lot of fun if we can pull it off safely (and we can't use our *&*^54 tickets).

I haven't seen anything official but most have expected it would be the first weekend in April, just like it was scheduled last year so April 3-4. However, checking hotel availability and the prices it looks like the hotels think it will be April 10-11.

They are vaccinating 1(a) category now. 1(b) includes people who work in manufacturing, food and agriculture, and education. That covers a lot of people. You just have to be fast on the keyboard. If I could get all those One Direction and Justin Bieber tickets for my kids all these years, I should be able to register for a vaccine!

That would only be 2 weeks after NCAAs. That is kind of tight scheduling when some kids could qualify out of there. And didn't they have a last chance qualifier planned between NCAAs and OTTs? That schedule would make it impossible.

This WIN Magazine article on December 1st stated they were being held on April 9-11th:

There are plenty of questions when it comes to wrestling schedules this winter, including internationally as United World Wrestling announced it was scheduling a World Championship in December, but then cancelled the event after countries like the USA elected not to attend because of pandemic issues. The UWW later announced it would hold an “Individual World Cup” at a date to be determined. The 2021 Olympic Trials are still scheduled for April 9-11 in State College, Pa.

i have rooms booked in downtown state college for both march 5-7 and april 9-11 but i'm really not expecting to get the vaccine by then so i'll probably need to cancel. crossing my fingers though.

Dave, I'm also sitting on lower bowl tickets.

I hope to have my shots by then as I'm in group 1C and hope to take advantage of those in 1A and 1B who will sit on the sidelines and let us bump up.

If I have gotten the shots and the event has no fans, I'm in. Let me know if you need anything in advance for the room.
Great idea.

My hunch is that the liftoff will be cancelled unless a ton of participating countries get shots in their arms.
