we are supposed to be loaded with elite WRs. Temple DBs are average at best. Temple blitzes almost every play - so why couldn't our guys get open???

on the other side of the ball (after Wartman left the game), Temple pulled out some seemingly improbable 3rd down conversions by passing to their ordinary WRs against our ELITE DBs. (Allen, Haley, Lucas, Williams, Campbell, Reid, etc). I don't want to underplay Wartman loss as Temple had 1 FD before he got hurt.

Tight ends were immediately wide open up the middle all day, especially when needed in the second half, but someone wasn't looking away from those GD sideline routes.

Yea, like the one he threw an absurd INT on for Temple's go ahead TD on a 2nd-&-2 by pointing at and starring down his intended target according to the intercepting Temple DE (than he half jogged and made no real attempt to tackle the Temple player).

Getting open vs the blitz is much more about what happens pre-snap than post snap. The coaches and/or Hack need to make sure that the right adjustments are made to get into hot routes vs the blitz.

I'm convinced our problems aren't with talent and whats happening post snap but rather getting people into the right situations before the snap. Sure we've got some weakness on the oline but that can be accounted for with scheme.
