Out of Nick Lee, RBY, and Shak, who is more likely to win an individual national championship?

Of course Shak needs to get his extra year. Nick is close, but RBY has more time. Maybe you want to write in a vote for someone not named?

Shak has the easier path next year because 133>>141>>>>>184.

Shak if not for a mental lapse (and nagging injury) is possibly in the finals and a NC this morning the way things played out.

Lee is probably today closer to his peers who made the finals, meaning his path to the finals is just behind Shaks. But there awaits Yianni and eirmen which he can both beat but it will take in mat action he just hasnt mastered yet with guys who can cut the corner on him and take advantage of his drive.

RBY has a meet grinder of a weight.

Overall who knows what any of this looks like till RS and ORs are made public.

Nick Lee is a possibility for next year but is depends on what Yianni does. Eierman already announced he is taking an Olympic red shirt next year, Gianni could take a gap year to train for the Olympics as well or there is always the possibility of him moving up to 149. Demas will still be there and there will always be the incoming frosh and redshirts.

Think Shack is not returning. Both Lee and RBY must get stronger. They will. RS yrs in 2020? RBY has more upside but Lee is so tenacious.

Lee has Yanni in his path, that will be a tough hill to climb. He also needs to figure out how to beat wrestlers with length. I'm never going to doubt Nick though, he's a bulldog.

A healthy Rasheed is as good or better than anyone at 184. He just needs to overcome late 3rd period mental lapses, and he has at most 1 year to get it done.

RBY is going to be stronger and much more technical next year ... unfortunately 133 will still be a meat grinder. With 3 years left though I think he has the best chance to get at least 1 championship

I'll go with Nick Lee. He was in very close matches with McKenna who came awfully close to a title. RBY is good and will get better, but he has plenty of other very good wrestlers at his weight.

Among other things, durability and smarts are necessary to win a national championship. I don't see Shak with either of those attributes.

If Yanni was Lee's roadblock I would agree, but he has not looked good against tall wrestlers like Demas and Eirman.
