I guess Jake Guentzel made similar remarks as well. I was hoping this was the year the Penguins finally win the cup on their home ice. Now I want them to win it on the road the road so the Preds and their fans have to watch them celebrate in their building.

See, that's your problem - you're worried about a meaningless stat and not the ones that matter; namely Cups, MVPs, Scoring Championships, and Gold Medals. Who cares about +/- when all you do is WIN? Oh - led the league in goals this year, second for points (Reg. Season) and second so far for overall points in the playoffs. Lemme know when you have someone willing to trade their +/- rating for a scoring title or Cup. Think Jason Zucker would rather have his +34 right now or play on Crosby's line? LOL.

Yeah, you're right. Here is the cool thing. If 87 goes -1 next game, then you and him will share the same impact on winning the Cup. It's clips like the one above and the comments like the one in this thread that make 87 pretty shallow versus the all time greats.
