I am very glad of the heavy focus Penn State has on the talent in District 7 in Western Pa. There is so much D-1 talent within those boundaries that we should camp out there all year round . Pittsburg Central Catholic, Woodland Hills Pine-Richland and the others have an abundance of super athletes.I am from the District 12 area and would like also to see a focus on teams like St. Joe Prep,Wood and the newest entrant to D-I talent producer Imhotep Charter. Although Penn State has tapped into the aforementioned schools already[ Bates,Cooper Reid and this year Toney , there is much work to do there as well as more recruiting in D-7. Imhote has players committed this year to Penn State, Florida State, Vanderbuilt, Temple and Oklahoma and they are just the ones that come immediately to mind. I know Penn State knows of these and the other schools ability to produce talent ,and I don't want us to miss out on the local kids . This is in no way meant to slight the other fine players scattered around Pa. ,but if we tuly want to be the dominate force in Pa. our focus should start in the 2 best football Districts IMO.
