Iowa fans may be comforted by being number two per capita, but not likely happy that even per capita, PA leads the nation.
Hat tip to Willie Saylor for lots of interesting stats.

2018 NCAA Qualifiers Per Capita

The following table shows the number of national qualifiers each state earned, followed by the number of qualifiers per million inhabitants of each state.

IA 11 3.50
SD 3 3.45
OH 30 2.57

Too bad most not wanted at the State University,,How long til Penn State starts all out of staters?

Half of the PA Finalists are Penn Staters.

Lee, Zain, Perry, Hidlay, Nolf, Cenzo

PSU wanted Lee for sure, so that makes 4 of 6 at a minimum. Not sure about Perry and Hilday.
====

PSU has more PA finalists (3),
than there are finalists in any other state. Only 3 other states have 2 finalists
- CA, Mich and NJ. (And one of them, Mark Hall, is also a PSU finalist)

Good schools must be diverse and go after the best talent wherever it exists.
