Saturday, Sept. 10
2016 Penn State vs. Pittsburgh Football Pep Rally
Kickoff: 12:00 p.m.
Pep Rally Tent Opens: 9:00 a.m.
Pep Rally Program: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Tents are located behind the Carnegie Science Center. Entrance to tent is directly behind the Carnegie Science Center on the North Shore. There are multiple parking lots around Heinz Field, and they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The #PSUpeprally will feature the Penn State Pep Band, Feature Twirler, Nittany Lion, cheerleaders, Lionettes, some rallying words, and free refreshments. For more information, including parking maps, stadium restrictions and tailgating, visit Pittsburgh’s website.

Parking Info:Please park Downtown (less than $10) and take the “T” for free OR use Exit 1C to park in the Nova Garage (formerly Allegheny Center) ($20). Visit our website for more details, and click here for info regarding tailgating policies and additional parking details.

Alumni and Friends Mixer
6:00–9:00 p.m.
Hard Rock Café, 230 W. Station Square, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Enjoy light appetizers, drink specials and performances by the Penn State cheerleaders, Lionettes, the Nittany Lion, and more. And at 9:00 p.m., Velveeta will perform.

Proceeds will support the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter’s Scholarship Endowment Fund. For more information, visit the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter’s event website.

Co-Sponsored by the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, the Penn State Alumni Association, and the Smeal College of Business.






Heinz Field encourages fans to not bring any type of bags. Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium.

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, or 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the gate.

But I wouldn't attend ANY PSU AA event......unless it was to throw eggs at Kevin "BOT Scoundrel in Waiting" Steele, or donuts at Clifford the Big Red Dog.
