Sorry to hear that others are having issues getting into and out of their lots. My experience after two games is much different. I waited a little to get into my lot the first weekend but getting out has been a breeze. Virtually no wait. We'll see if that changes for a noon game or for a game with a higher attendance.

For more than 25 years I drove for 2.5 hours to get to a game. Expected to deal with traffic congestion and learned if I got in town early that I could avoid most of the problems associated with that. Figured out what the traffic patterns were and when they went into effect. It was simple, it was the same every game and most every year. Drove to where I wanted to park for the day in any yellow lot. Went to the game, enjoyed my time with family and friends and the people we got to know around us. Carried on conversations in a normal voice without having to shout over a blaring PA noise intrusion. Became friends with the volunteer ushers in our area and spoke with them every game. Enjoyed the Blue band music during the performances and during the game. It was much better than the canned noise produced now. Figured out that if we waited awhile after the game that the traffic had sorted out its problems by itself and leaving town was simple and easy.

Tell me, just what have the "consultants" improved and how much did those improvements cost?

Ahhh, the good old days. All you needed was a little common sense.

Post of the year, right here!

Ceasar I second that! This whole parking consultant stuff is bullshit. The university over complicates everything anymore!!

That’s like when you call in sick to work and the following day your Boss calls you into his office and says next time can you please let me know the day before you’re sick. Happened to Moi.

So are you saying that is actually the response you received from her or are you implying this was the response? Big difference and tells us how big of a um (insert your own word) she is.

Honestly..... if you suggested that to Babs, she’d probably spend 15 minutes pondering over that suggestion...... or at least appearing to ponder over it (she might actually only be thinking about what type of new carpeting she wants :) )
Please, no more carpet references. I need to keep my breakfast down.

I'm sure not defending the traffic management at games as it took us 3 hours to get from Walmart into a parking space for the Pitt game 2 years ago, but exiting after an afternoon or especially a night game is much different from exiting after a noon game. After a night game most everyone is packing up and leaving to if you want out quick you better be packed up and then leave your seats a couple minutes before time expires. With this week's noon kickoff many fans will either tailgate some more or walk downtown to enjoy the day, so traffic flow from the lots will be much more civil.......

Why were the lights turned of on Porter and in the welcome center? It was pitch black walking over to the jiffy johns.
