Pats or Rams

Don't care. Sick of the Pats and get get excited about a team that that switches cities every decade or so.

I always root against the pats. Given how the rams got there I can’t really get excited about them either. Once the game is on I’m sure I’ll be pulling for the rams just because I’m incapable of not rooting against the pats. Maybe we can get another power outage and this time they’ll cancel the game.

There should be no one outside of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Louisiana that should be wanting the Patriots to win this game

Why should someone in St. Louis root for the Rams?

Pats will win and Brady will have two SB wins (First and Last) over the Rams.

One of my two best friends is a Rams fan. I remember telling him the night before Super Bowl XXXVI that the Rams were going
to kill the Pats. He called me after the games on Sunday Night. Now, he's telling me Goff isn't ready and Pats will win easily. It
would be quite ironic if things flipped. Not good for me. Just ironic. I give the Rams a good shot at winning. There's not much difference
in the Top 7-8 teams any more. Most big games come down to a play or two. If the Rams OL gives a dominating performance like they
did against Dallas. And, Philly's OL did last year. The Pats D can be exposed. These Pats don't have guys like; McGinest, Seymour,
Vrabel, Wilfork, etc.

I’d definitely like the Rams if Gurley’s status were clear. I’m completely perplexed by what’s happening with him.

I picked the Rams back in September. Their DL is built like those that brady has struggled against in the past - 2 stud DTs who make it extremely difficult to climb the pocket the way brady likes to do (ie the Giants). Once you get brady moving laterally (esp at his age), he becomes mediocre.

Plus, the league has a huge vested interest in raising interest in its product in the nation’s second biggest market, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Rams get the calls that the pats have enjoyed in their big wins over the years (just ask NO how “even” the calls were on Sunday). Goodell’s goons will likely have a flag/missed call or two at the Rams’ disposal...SoCal is too important for them to be allowed to fail.

Well, I grew up in L.A., and I have not been a Rams fan since they moved to St. Louis years ago. But I cannot bring myself to root for the Patriots, and the fact that Jared Goff and C.J. Anderson are Cal alums clinches it for me. Go Rams!

I thought I asked why someone in St. Louis would root for the Rams.

W the (not so) Super Bowl?
Patriots. Can’t stand the Rams or that boy genius coach. Probably biased, but he was NFL CoY last season, even though he lost to Doug Pederson at home, Pederson beat him in LA this season, too, even though the Eagles were down a secondary.

Same principle applies, no? The Rams moved away from both St. Louis and LA. They have moved back, but at lot of Angelenos remember what happened and loathe the franchise. I am rooting for them in this Super Bowl only because they have Cal guys on their roster, and I loathe the Patriots even more.

Pats. I'm sick of the media and NFL hiring committees sucking up the Sean McVay Kook Aid. Anyone who sat next to him in high school is being considered for an NFL coaching gig. I want to see him fail miserably. I've suddenly developed an affinity for the gruff Belechik and Tom Brady. Let them win this last one and both retire as winners.

Hmm I could've swore someone above said the exact same thing lmao

Offenses have such a huge advantage over opposing defenses that these big games all become passing shootouts. Someone like Brady with a quick, accurate release can't be consistently stopped from drastically changing field position or scoring at will. As a result, your defense gets gassed by the 4th quarter and there is nothing you can do except try to score the necessary go ahead points with 5 seconds left on the clock. Patriots win again, ugh.

I just read that the Rams hired a new equipment manager. He looks really familiar but I can't quite recall where I've seen him before:

I'll take the Patriots -2.5. Giving the Patriots coaching staff two weeks to prepare for a young qb? Give me the Patriots all day
