Wow, the chance of having 4 or more leap babies out of 600 *random* people (no twins, etc.) is about 1 in 1179! So your town ~is 1-in-1179 special.... The percentage of the population born on February 29 is approximately 0.07%. I grew up in Thompsontown, a town of about 600 people. I knew of at least three other Leap babies.
Large population numbers are going to be closer to a flat distribution (0.07% on average). Smaller groups are less likely to be flat distributions. Is there a big party in Thompsontown in late May every year???Thanks, all.
