Not surprised it's at 197. Still think it's a mistake to think he can maintain a significant cut for any sustained period of time. He could be a finalist at 197 however at 184 he's middle of the pack at best, imo, and there is a possibility he misses weight at a critical time in the season.
I could beat PDIII ... because he'd never show up.
Not only could I beat him as well, but over the course of the season my winning pct would be great - maybe something like 83%. Bronze standard, I believe. If everything lined up perfectly, he might be able to qualify me for nationals!
Really cool how most of HR thinks its admirable of TnT to give PDIII yet another chance and are supportive of the situation. I am sure that same group would have the same positive outlook towards Cael and Pat if he would have ended up a PSU.
This is good he backed out of WNO and now this. At least now he has some good excuses to give when he does not win NCAA's(if he even makes it that far).

Is it just me or is there becoming an unhealthy obsession on this website, in multiple threads, about what "HR" is doing on a daily. FYI.. "HR" had bacon and eggs for breakfast along with a bloody Marry. "HR" is going to skip lunch to grow a big appetite for homemade Beef and noodles come dinner time. Agree, but vice versa too, as evidenced by yours and many other posts on this board by Iowa posters.
Only getting started, WT. Gonna be a long season on the boards. Many on HR obsess over Cael and PSU, and many on BWI obsess over those HR posters.
Not sure whether that is more a credit to the HR posters or a knock on the state of Hawkeye Wrestling.
Maybe one of the HR posters parents can give us the playbook on board etiquette. Otherwise we are clueless and don't know how to behave.

I think you missed my point. YOU are obsessed with what is posted here and you are not alone among your Iowa buddies. Just an observation as I personally have never posted on HR although I do occasionally click on links to HR provided on this board. IMHO, the obsession is unhealthy on the part of both fan bases but for some reason you can't see that it cuts both ways.

I would say I am obsessed with wrestling in general, even in the offseason. I visit around 8 wrestling message boards everyday. I post the most on the rivals boards.
I think you missed my point. I was just noting that right now most threads on here divulge into what "HR" says or does. It wasn't always that way here. I was just making an observation about that.
It doesn't get much more boring than HR complaining about Cael, except BWI complaining about HR complaining about Cael, and then HR posters coming here complaining about that. It's a repetitive, meta whirlpool of boring, like when an employee accidentally cc's the entire company and people Reply-All demanding to be taken off the list.
It is very hard not to become somewhat obsessed with what spews from HR when about 50% of the content is some version of how Sandusky was part of PSU wrestling or how Cael is a cheater,scum bag, liar, etc. This board (other than yours truly) hardly ever throws stones at Brands.

No nate I am a full fledged Cael fan. You know that unbeaten 4 time champion who has ruined the sport? That one. I will always be a fan of my team (ISU) because I have a degree from there and spent time wrestling there. I have spoken to Cael on countless occasions and to Cody,Casey, and Jake many times as well. I admire all of these guys as wrestlers,coaches, and more importantly men of integrity. It doesn't hurt that they are kicking the poop out of the evil empire while they are at it
I chose not to participate in those comments don't i? I have posted on HR several times that the Sandusky comments are unnecessary and shouldn't even be brought up on a wrestling forum. What else can i do?
This is non responsive to what J.P.W. said. He was talking about HR in general, not you as a poster, and it wasn't just about the Sandusky comments. The non stop attacks on Sanderson and accusations of cheating is going to generate negative reactions over here, it's inevitable. Overall, I think you are a fair poster in that you are consistent no matter where you post and you're more a defender of your team than an offender of others. I tend to put myself into that same category of poster for the most part.

I am relatively new to BWI and don't go to HR that often, so can't speak too much about relative postings. But if there has been a change, I think it's a reflection on our culture where negativity/hostility seems to be on a rise. That's why negative news sells much better than positive news. Social media seems to foster this. Personally, I don't think it's a good trend for our culture. Maybe I'm being too negative!!

Seriously, Turk, you know I'm a Turk guy but you want to talk about obsessions you need to check the home board first. We may talk too much about the HR, which is really one of the only two viable wrestling boards on this network (and one of maybe 4 or 5 anywhere), but the mood over there can be politely described as manic.
