Penn State #2.

PSU is simply better in Pitt in nearly every way. Better campus, better academics, better athletics.

State College being one of the safest towns in a America makes incidents stand out. You can't get away with anything in State College, especially when you are a football player. It's not like in Pittsburgh were not only do incidents go unnoticed because people are being murdered nearby, but incidents are also swept under the rug. Makes you wonder for every Tyler Boyd getting caught driving drunk underage, how many more crimes go unnoticed or get swept away? It's a conspiracy of silence.

Remember this gem? "Hey, I play for Pitt football,” Douglas told officers, according to a police complaint and affidavit. “Please don’t arrest me." I wish I could find the WDVE song that went with it!

Well, Columbus and Ann Arbor didn't make the top 25 either.......just like Pitt. ;)
The first is a city--but Ann Arbor isn't bad as a college town. The wife enjoyed our visit last season (except for the loss).

I have been to every town on that top 10 list. Santa Barbara and Durango are great towns but I would not consider them college towns in which the primary attraction to the town is the university. Great places, but not college towns. Towns like State College, San Luis Obispo, and Chapel Hill. Which are all in the top 10 are true college towns.

Yeah, Columbus and Pittsburgh aren't exactly college towns. They are not the environment I like for college, but as cities, have some nice things to offer. You know, all that culture (the good kind). ;)
