this guy is a bases loaded homerun, game 7 of the World Series, bottom of the ninth.
This was really good! Pat Kraft is super impressive. I like him a lot. You can tell he is so passionate for Penn State and loves his job. Seems like he would be a great boss. He is transparent, affable, energetic, smart and a great representation for Penn State. We have to hold on to him.
A few things I noted...
-Loved his opening giving a big shout out to THON and then taking the time to highlight all the success of the Penn State sports programs that never get much attention.
-Cael is a special person. There is elite and then Cael. He called him "one of one" and a "unicorn". It is interesting that he said Cael only wants what is needed to win. I took this as Cael is a very down to earth, humble, hard working guy who is also the best wrestling coach in the world. Our wrestling program is better than a dynasty!
-Heartfelt comments about Katie-Schumacher-Cawley. He really spoke from the heart. He talked about their grit and resolve in beating Nebraska. He said Schumacher "is Penn State". A great story that goes way beyond winning the NC.
-Called Franklin the CEO and the coordinators are vital. Will spend top dollar to get the best coordinators. That was his thinking with getting Knowles.
-He is in for the long term in men's basketball. Goal is the NCAA tournament every year and he believes in Mike Rhoades. What else is he going to say but I believe him. He likes Rhoades, hired him and is fully supportive.
