I’ve always liked the numbers on the helmets. Otherwise I think they need a real change of pace uniform such as an electric blue Jersey with a blue helmet. Something different and get rid of the white shoes . Where did those come from anyway?

Personally, I love it. As close to perfect as possible.

I luv it! I think this should be the regular uniform and Pink and Black should be the alternate with black shoes. I also want the helmet flap to revert back to the days it said "Lions" instead of "Penn State." Back when Lavar and Courtney played.

I don't get the love for the pink and black stuff. Makes me think of this:

From 2017

Franklin first advanced the idea of an alternate uniform three years ago with Brad 'Spider' Caldwell, the program's popular former equipment manager who now works for the Nittany Lion Club. Caldwell, who cataloged Penn State's uniforms for years, found most of the old elements in storage. Franklin and a small team then began editing their favorites.

Among the notable tributes are the white shoes, which Penn State wore in the 1979 Sugar Bowl. Striped socks pay tribute to those worn from 1970-72, and block uniform numbers recall those worn in the 1950s and '60s.

The helmets will be numbered, as they were at times from 1959-74, while pant and jersey stripes date to the 1950s. An image of the Nittany Lion Shrine will be embossed into the jersey front.

For Franklin, the most difficult-to-grasp element initially was the gray face mask, which Penn State wore from 1959-86. Now, the fourth-year coach thinks it "looks really sharp."
