Aren't they one of the teams that made the Big Dance with a losing record like a decade ago?Didn’t Coppin have good teams in the past?
The very rare good team yes, but I don’t think they’ve actually been in the tournament since they upset South Carolina back in 93 or 94 when the game was in Pittsburgh. There are two brothers on that team that I coached against a few years back and frankly, they have no business being on a division one roster so that explains the huge disparity and talent.Didn’t Coppin have good teams in the past?
I wouldn’t expect anything less with the history of this program.I'm hoping to see 4* Miles Goodman make his debut. They might just wait another week for the Drexel game tho.
Nevermind. He's not even dressed today. I hope he didn't reagravate his shoulder.
In their defense, Coppin was completely overmatched but did not give up. Credit to their coaches and players. Having said that, Penn State has a talented, well balanced team that can score and play defense. It looks like they finally have a legitimate big man to match the rest of the roster. I’m getting a very positive vibe from this version of Penn State basketball.I wouldn’t expect anything less with the history of this program.
I hope that you’re right, but I’m still not optimistic that they’ll do well in the Big 10 games. In their defense, Coppin was completely overmatched but did not give up. 1-1 vs Purdue and Rutgers suggests .500 or better in the Big Ten. If they take care of business until league play resumes I think that assures a tournament bid.I hope that you’re right, but I’m still not optimistic that they’ll do well in the Big 10 games.
Like with the 2023 team, they’re going to have to win probably three to four road games to make the tournament. I’ve watched a lot of Big 10 basketball this season and I don’t think that there are any great teams, but there also probably aren’t any really bad teams, so the road wins are going to be precious.1-1 vs Purdue and Rutgers suggests .500 or better in the Big Ten. Of course. A big difference from last year’s team however is a 7’ athletic center who can play. Your take on the Big Ten is interesting. I’ve heard commentators including today’s play by play announcer state that the Big Ten is the best basketball conference in the country.Like with the 2023 team, they’re going to have to win probably three to four road games to make the tournament. There’s absolutely no way that the Big 10 is better than the SEC this season; the SEC this season may be the best basketball conference that there’s been in recent history.Of course. And yet Purdue beat Alabama. You seem consistently inconsistent. There’s absolutely no way that the Big 10 is better than the SEC this season; the SEC this season may be the best basketball conference that there’s been in recent history.
One game is just one game. Just look at the SEC this season. You have Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, Miss State, Florida, Bama, etc. The SEC went 14-2 I believe in the ACC-SEC series. And yet Purdue beat Alabama. You seem consistently inconsistent.
The SEC is for hayseeds with twigs in their hair. See Paul Finebaum. One game is just one game. Just look at the SEC this season. You have Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, Miss State, Florida, Bama, etc. The SEC went 14-2 I believe in the ACC-SEC series.
I just saw on the ESPN scroll that both Ole Miss and Oklahoma also are ranked. The SEC is for hayseeds with twigs in their hair. See Paul Finebaum.
Ole Miss only has one loss. To Purdue. What a coincidence!I just saw on the ESPN scroll that both Ole Miss and Oklahoma also are ranked.
