FB Recruiting Penn State flips three-star tight end Brian Kortovich from Purdue

Not a single welcoming comment in three hours? I realize that we have been talking about some big names going into the early signing period, but no need to be silent. I hope the young man has a great college experience at Penn State on and off the field. The staff has a pretty good track record of identifying and developing TEs. He can't be afraid of competition, because he is joining a good room with another promising TE recruit.

From what I have read and heard, he would have been a Lion sooner (September ish) but we were waiting on Olesh.

This era is...interesting...because even when guys sign I'm not sure they'll ever play for us due to the portal
Best of luck to him--hope he's our next great TE

Also it seems his weight was less than two hundred coming into early 2024.. When he camped @ PSU in June 2024 the staff liked him, didn't offer but stayed in touch and followed his progress as they promised. Happy for him.
