Football Penn State Football Freshman Attendance Report -- Week Two

Was that Luke Reynolds that was flagged for holding? What the heck is the difference between a pancake and a hold. It didn’t appear to me (from the Jumbotron) that Luke put his hands on the defender or wrapped his arms in any way. Looked like the D pulled him down.

Correct. He's a freshmen so those mistakes will happen, but it was definitely on him that play.

and the next play we lost 20 yards on a sack........ that phantom hold was actually a big play, cost us points.

If Dinkins doesn't return for the next game Reynolds may get "Green Lit"....

Looked like a nice block, the flag was tossed by the ref, who was about 20 yds away.. It looked like it was a bad angle from the ref.

If that was a hold, we ain't beating OSU because that's how you block an aggressive defender.

The ref threw it closer to our guy being tackled than Reynolds getting the leverage on his guy. It's almost as if he saw him on the ground and assumed "holding" because if you thought it live, the flag comes a lot faster.

Same as the Shelton hold. He dogged his guy. Ref seen him on the ground. Flag flies.

Didn't get any calls, I watched our lineman constantly held from behind,.arms wrapped around their waste, and shirts pulled rt in front of back judge and he just stood there.

Good adversity. Maybe Franklin told the refs to do it.
