I’ll getcha started with a few off the top of my pointy head:

justin King #7 and #1
Poz #39 and #31
Navorro Bowman #18 and #11

Thought Curt Enis wore a different sweater# as a Frosh LB but can’t find a pic....

Let’s not include one-game switcharoo-tributes for injured teammates...

Most true freshman change there numbers after the first year examples
Oj mcduffie #45 true frosh to #24
Kerry Collins #6 to #12
Chafe fields #46 to #2
John sacca #17 to #9

Just a few I can think of

Curtis Enis always had #39 that was his linebacker number and he just kept it when he switched to runningback

Maybe I was thinking of Enis wearing #44 as a Chicago Bear... funny as i also saw some pics if him wearing #39 as a Bear... thinking that may have been a second stint

I’m thinking nfl rookies are the same way as true frosh they get the left over numbers and then after players get cut in the nfl or senior players graduate there’s more numbers to choose from like Kerry Collins for example he wore #6 his true fresh year which was 1990 bc Tom bill a sr had #12 so when bill graduated Kerry got to pick #12

Ronnie Heller wore 4 different numbers in 4 different years. #93, #80, #72, and #78.

Ummm... my gut tells me it’s not nearly as common as you let on.... certainly not snywhere close to “half”...
let’s hear you name some
I don’t even know 90% of the kids who have been on the roster over the years. I’ll spend the rest of the night comparing rosters from year to year to come up with a more realistic % for you.

I'll go back to Bob Parsons. Played QB with #13. Switched to TE and wore #86, I believe.
