Can't change the fact that we are in The B1G. So, I'd have to work around that....

Sep. 5 at Miami (Fla)
Sep. 12 Notre Dame
Sep. 19 Rutgers
Sep. 26 Navy
Oct. 3 BYE
Oct. 10 Indiana
Oct. 17 at Ohio State
Oct. 24 at Maryland
Oct. 31 Illinois
Nov. 7 at Northwestern
Nov. 14 Army
Nov. 21 Michigan
Nov. 28 at Michigan State

As AD, first, Penn State Football would play BOTH Army and Navy every year. The kids, I repeat, the kids on BOTH teams deserve the experience. There's more to this game than just the football game.

Second, our OOC schedule would come from the following list (home and home) - NO exceptions:

Notre Dame
USC
Miami (Fla)
Alabama
Boston College
Syracuse
Pitt
Air Force
Temple
UVA
GT

This is Penn State Football!

We are!

Before reading your post I was expecting something off the wall and ridiculous. A schedule that
is far fetched and unrealistic. I was wrong. The only change I would make is with Bigten approval,
I'd move the Miami game to the beginning of November. That way it really becomes a home field advantage for us. Maybe flip Miami with Army on November 14th. Other then that...good job.

Would love to play Miami too.

Other winners - USC, GT, Bama, UVA. All would be good for recruiting.

Would not schedule Pitt.

Question....

Bethune-Cookman plays "at" Miami this year, 2015, on September 5th. And, Nebraska plays "at" Miami on the 19th of September. If they can do that, why is it that you feel Penn State can not? You do realize that EVERY YEAR some team travels to Miami to play Miami's first game in the heat, right?

Sep. 5 Bethune-Cookman 6:00pm
Sep. 11 at Florida Atlantic 8:00pm
Sep. 19 Nebraska 3:30pm

The beauty is Penn State should play a HUGE game every year to start the season. I get what you are saying. Playing "at" USC, Alabama or Miami would have its drawbacks to start the season in September. However, those three teams start the year playing a patsy that travels to play in that heat. If the "patsies" can play in the heat, so can Penn State. That's why you have competent medical staff to safe guard against dehydration and other medical issues.

Penn State should play a marquee game to start the year - EVERY year, IMO. Playing in the heat, every so often, sucks, but that's life.

You do realize that PITT would come on the schedule once every 10-15 years or so. Also, there are kids that came from the same high school and recruited by both schools. It would be great for PA, their families and friends. Again, it's two games every 10-15 years apart. Same thing goes for Temple.

I like this schedule and it's cast of characters.......along with it's interchangeable replacements.---- This is one of the few things you've posted, since swallowing the Owl of Minerva, that triggers little angst . You must have channeled Drunk Mac Daddy for this one.------ Not a bad idea to let him take the wheel once in a while ( figuratively.... For all the PC bottom dwellers out there). :)

Nice try. Only problem is that starting in 2016 the Big Ten goes to nine conference games. So that means OOC is Army, Navy, and one other opponent. I'm sure that if the entire OOC is on an home-and-home basis, AD Michael Felli will make up the financial shortfall. That, and I'm the King of Sweden.

In my recollection, the bias against 'Southern' schools not playing 'Northern' schools in November is true. Florida State has only played AT Notre Dame only once in the 'late fall.' The premise of the above poster in his reply was to even the field -- Bama, Miami, Texas or others should have to experience the weather conditions that Big Ten schools see as normal. Nothing wrong with that !!

The patsies of Army and Navy should not be included, since that keeps Penn State inside the Northeast corridor and not recognized nationally for recruiting purposes. And Pitt --- never, ever -- this is a series that long ago lost all significance with nothing to gain for Penn State. Temple -- only maybe, once every 15 years.

Replace UVA with South Carolina, schedule Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon, Utah, Georgia, KState and Mizzou to name just a few.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did my intelligence get in the way of your stupidity...er, I mean, arrogance? Did you happen to notice the (ahem) similarity between my schedule and the current, 2015, Football Schedule? Perhaps, in the year, 2038, Penn State and cfb will be playing 15 games per year. Should I give a hypothetical for that year, too?

As for your comment on the "financial shortfall", perhaps those who make decisions should start wondering why Penn State will have a "financial shortfall" every year UNLESS Penn State Footbal plays a OOC pansy every year. Just a thought.

Have no fear, Michael, few will ever mistake you for other than what you really are.

What is the attraction of Miami (FLA)? They're not particularly good program anymore and their home crowds are embarrassingly small. I know Al Golden coaches there but that isn't enough reason and plus he won't coach there forever.

I don't get Temple either. PSU has a big media presence in Philly already anyway so playing there doesn't help with that. At least playing at Miami you might get on TV and some people outside PA will care. But Temple?

Wish Billy Snyder would schedule Lions for OOC.
Great for both big cats!
But we will play you for sure
because the pig skin final 4 will include the Lions

Your schedule averages 6 home games per season. We have bills to pay.

As AD, you will either need to raise more money to offset the decreased revenue (higher STEP or ticket prices), or drop some of our other sports...what are you going to do???
