For the first time in its history since the college football playoffs have been in existence, Penn State has made the college football playoffs!

In 2016 and 2017, Penn State was The first team out. Heartbreaking. In 2018 Penn State would have qualified for the playoffs although they had 3 losses. In 2019 Penn State had 2 losses and was the 3rd team left out. In 2022 and 23, Penn State would have qualified had the playoffs been in its current 12 team format.

No single team in America has experienced being left out SIX times in the ten years of the playoffs from its inception. Many Penn State fans thought "death, taxes, and Franklin misses the playoffs". In fact, during this season Penn State had to escape 3 separate upset bids which required near miracle plays to pull out wins, wins in which, had Penn State lost just ONE of them, they would have been left out yet again even with the expanded field of 12.

Penn State has done this without any single wide receiver as any kind of threat. Penn State has done this by coming from behind in the fourth quarter on the road, TWICE.

PENN STATE HAS MADE THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS AND THE SEASON IS A SUCCESS.

I just rewatched the highlights of yesterday’s game…if the officials call our game against Oregon the same way, we have little chance of winning. Four very questionable spots and only two penalties for 8 yards against a team that was severely over matched. If they got called for 0 holds, you know Oregon isn’t going to get called at all either.
