Penn State does a nice job with these holiday videos (in spite of the driver this year  ).

Mrs KG and I had a chuckle watching it last night. I liked that it showed some of the Commonwealth Campuses (as I am a CC (Ogontz) alum).

Would it be too much to ask that in 2:30 they mention Christmas just once? Or Hanukkah?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
HAPPY HANUKKAH!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I. AM. OUTRAGED. You can't only mention one or two holidays because others will be offended! Everyone gets a trophy for participating in their religion!

Penn State's leadership is the gold standard for offending people. There is no reason they can't do it here. I have no doubt a great majority of Penn State students and alums celebrate either Christmas or Hanukkah. It's time the University acknowledges that.

Yeah, what's another $20 MM in lawsuits? It's only someone else's money.

There is no reason Christmas, or Hanukka, could not have been mentioned in the video. One of the students could have said something like "I'm headed to Pittsburgh to celebrate Christmas with my family."

True of every public institution these days. They are afraid of offending someone. And there are a fair number of folks in these United States that seem to make a living off of being perpetually offended.

The irony is that in the name of diversity, we've instead gotten a very gray sameness to our public culture (I seem to recall an Ursula K. LeGuin story where people literally were made gray to avoid racism). I much preferred when I was a kid where Yom Kippur was a holiday as well as Easter. I learned more about the Jewish kids I went to school with that way.
