BB Recruiting Penn State intrigued by UMKC transfer guard Shemarri Allen

I saw him play against Max Abmas and Oral Roberts and also watched when they played Illinois, Kansas State, and LSU. He was the one player for Kansas City that always looked like he belonged at that level. Solid defender and is great at driving to the basket. I think his mid/long-range shooting would improve at a school like Penn State where he wouldn’t be double teamed on the perimeter all night because he’s the only consistent threat on the floor.

I’ll also say that, although he’s a considered a combo guard, he’s much better at the two. Not really a natural point guard and makes a bigger impact when he’s not the facilitator.
