Football Penn State moves to No. 10 in latest CFP rankings

Iowa 22nd.

1. Beat Michigan
2. Iowa win out in regular season
3. Come on WVU too
4. Everyone else fall apart (except maybe Ohio St; give us the best loss)

This doesn’t all need to happen for us to make the playoff, but #1 sure does.

Weird that the three biggest games of the season now for us are PSU-Michigan, Ohio St-Michigan, and Purdue-Northwestern (and of course our MSU and Rutgers games).

Don't forget the Old Oaken Bucket game, IU vs Purdue and Nebby vs Iowa.

Would someone please explain the significance of the Purdue/Northwestern game, please.

It’s the last game remaining between a team that we played (NW) and a team that Ohio St and Michigan both played (Purdue). It’s looking like the 3 team tiebreaker will be very close if it comes into play, and the result of that game could very well be the determining factor in it.

Rutgers/Iowa is the game that worries me for the tiebreaker. That's a game Iowa must win for us.
