You suck! You just beat my post! Please delete it if you would. Thank you!View attachment 541
James, a Junior, is a 2x NJ state champion and the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2026 class per Willie. 150 pounds. Projects to 157. Also a club teammates of Duke and Ryder.
He was previously committed to Virginia Tech.
Is Beau still making the commitment posters for the new commits? Or am I remembering that incorrectly?View attachment 541

And took sh&t!@dicemen99 dropped a pretty big hint about this yesterday.
Which thread. I missed it.And took sh&t!
Yeah, I immediately went to Willie’s rankings on Rokfin and started sleuthing and he was one of my 2-3 possibles. I couldn’t find the “beating one of David’s top recruits” tie in, though, so I wasn’t positive.@dicemen99 dropped a pretty big hint about this yesterday.
Penn State fan base right now:Winning is intoxicating!![]()
Penn State fan base right now:
That was my fault. I had narrowed it down to James or Joey Canova, Bergen Catholic guy committed to Princeton projected to 174. Canova beat Eric Guerrero's kid at Fargo last year.Yeah, I immediately went to Willie’s rankings on Rokfin and started sleuthing and he was one of my 2-3 possibles. James still has a year left of a HS. After that and a redshirt year, 157 should clear out. Mitch will also be gone by then. Good chance he and Duke are B2B in the lineup.I thought it was James based off Dice’s hint and the KD connection but wow! James must think it will work weight wise with Duke if he’s committing. But the logjam just grows at 157-197 in 2026-2027: Kasak, Duke, James, MM, Asher, Henckel, Ryder, Barr, Little Mirasola
9 guys for 5 weights even with redshirt years there could be issues:
However I think what most likely happens is Duke RS next year then in 2027 MM goes 174 with Duke and Kasak 157/165 while James RS then fills in for Kasak. Once MM graduates 174 is filled by Asher/Henckel/Ryder/new recruit
I thought James has a win over Guerrero as well a couple of years ago. Maybe a different Guerrero. My bad. That was my fault. I had narrowed it down to James or Joey Canova, Bergen Catholic guy committed to Princeton projected to 174. Canova beat Eric Guerrero's kid at Fargo last year.
James is the better prospect of the two.
Broke: throwing money at 5th year guys.
Maybe he can stay at 149?I thought it was James based off Dice’s hint and the KD connection but wow! James must think it will work weight wise with Duke if he’s committing. But the logjam just grows at 157-197 in 2026-2027: Kasak, Duke, James, MM, Asher, Henckel, Ryder, Barr, Little Mirasola

Noticed no mention of Joe Sealy…. Saw the rumor about him portalling, but is that confirmed?I thought it was James based off Dice’s hint and the KD connection but wow! Let him eat. Herring can succeed Shayne at 149.Perhaps we want Jaymes to settle in at 149, as SVN will be in his last year when Jaymes arrives, and we only have Perry there (no offense intended to Perry) unless I am forgetting someone.
Blaze at 141, Jaymes 149, and then the logjam.
As for Mesenbrink, I dont see him ever outgrowing 165, just based on his build now.
We were both writing cryptically to not give it away.I thought James has a win over Guerrero as well a couple of years ago. Maybe a different Guerrero. My bad.
Anyway, this was the guy I was hinting about. Great get!
I believe the wrestlers do, also. It's part of the magic sauce. One point I took from @dicemen99 thread from Sunday was that while some of us fans (myself included) worry/stress about how all of these hammers fit into the lineup, Cael and his staff view the competition as a very good thing.
In the last 6 days we saw the following:Damn, Ono and James. I didn't realize it was possible to win the week after the Championships too.
one thing insider Brantt mentioned during the DT to Ok State drama was that the whole episode was only going to ramp up Cael’s competitive juices.I believe the wrestlers do, also. It's part of the magic sauce.
From what I’ve seen his dad is a pretty big fella so I’d imagine 157-174.Maybe he can stay at 149?
Correlation does imply causationStopped reading the board for a few hours and come back to another elite recruit commitment, unreal.
