Penn state vs Maryland bb

Possibly people that support PSU sports and aren't just front-runners?
Keys to the game to me is how much Micah is able to get Jalen iso'd on Jahmir Young (he'd eat him alive in the post when we can create that mismatch), and whether Maryland makes their open 3's when we double the post and leave guys open (they are one of the poorer 3 point shooting teams in the country).
I do think the three-point line is the big thing today. Maryland is a pretty good team defending the three outside of their last game at Michigan State. But as you said they’re not a very good three-point shooting team. If we are +20 points from the three-point line, I think that bodes well.

Poorly coached by a head coach who had done absolutely nothing as a head coach in his career. A poor hire by a poor athletic director who thankfully is gone.
Kebba Njie is a huge disappointment so this year. We have no big men and he was supposed to be the guy.
I think he'll be a good player during his junior and senior years but he's nowhere close to ready this year.

PSU had the lead until Wynter's flagrant foul spurred a MD 9-0 run. I don't understand Clary's limited minutes in the second half.
Then they clawed their way back but MD made the plays in the final minutes and PSU didn't. This was a 3pt game with 6:28 to play. Dread had a good game but missed two wide open looks in crunch time. Pickett also missed point blank shots. Maybe fatigue.
Down 8 with 3 1/2 minutes to go and Lundy just started heaving up desperation 3s. Not a good move since MD was in the penalty. It's too bad that a player as strong as Lundy can't take it to the basket.

PSU down 7 with 30 seconds to play and they allow 14 seconds to elapse before fouling.
At the end of the day we don't make plays in the clutch. Same bad movie. We simply have no idea how to win and I have no idea how that will change in the foreseeable future. All about mental toughness and tenacity and we are sorely lacking. Very disappointing that we are incapable of fielding a better basketball team.
0-7 when trailing at halftime I believe...and that's with the oldest team in the B1G.
Depressing. Getting to the point where you just expect them to crap the bed at some critical juncture of the game to lose.
Talked to another PSU fan yesterday and his comment was that the other teams have figured out PSU. Not just the Plan A but also Plan B and Plan C. We don't have the players to make anymore adjustments.
What plan B and plan C?
PSU's offense is for Pickett to back his man down in the paint and either score or kick it out to a 3 pt shooters. That's plan A and there is no plan B or C. I'm not sure if we have the players to do anything else.
Plan A on defense is to double team the opponent's post player since we are outmanned. I don't understand why we never go zone or full court press.
Yep. I see us pass it around with a couple pics or screens for the first 20-25 seconds. Then when the shot clock is down to fifteen seconds get it toPickett hoping he can work in a shot or kick it out. Thats it.
The other teams have all sorts of offenses, draw us out work the baseline or back door, rotations, all sorts of things.
Wierd because watching the Purdue game their coach said that Shrew was an offensive genius that taught him a lot about complex offenses. So either we don’t have the talent or brains to run any offense or Shrew lost the team or his mind. Cause we got no offense.
Kraft isn't giving him 6 years. I think if he doesn't make the ncaa tournament in the next 2 years he's gone.
