First off. The singer that attempted to sing the National Anthem must have been a oh-high-ya state grad....... pretty off key....

But as I type this we are already down a goal....

Fleury needs to stay up on his ****ing skates, and stay square to the shooter. But he's in that mode where he is skittish, it looks like, so I imagine he'll give up 5 tonight.

Well, Columbus has absolutely owned the first periods in all three games, but in the first two, Fleury stood on his head. Tonight, not so much.

Get him the hell out of there.

Dude you have no idea what you're talking about! Fluery has been great. First goal was on him, but the result of a bad bounce (puck hit the referee and deflected into our zone creating an odd man rush). Could easily be 5-1 right now. Going to go to Jarry who has one NHL game under his belt?!?! Yeah sit down.

Pal, I know a hell of a lot about hockey. But, even a neophyte knows that the poke-check in that situation was a bad idea. A really bad idea. The shooter had no angle. As well, one can never make a save while laying on their back.

I'm glad this is our last year of him.

I'm happy when Fleury is doing well. I like the guy. I've met him and his wife. They are wonderful people.

That said, he is prone to brain farts at the worst time.

Now, he plays best when he can't think much. That's what we need. Smooth, consistent, challenging shots that are spontaneous. Those, he can handle.

OT. Anything can happen.

Like the way the Pens have played after first 10 minutes or so.

Pens win, series basically over.

CBJ wins, we have ourselves a series.

He was chosen to sing Oh Canada at both the NHL All Star Game in Columbus and the baseball All Star game in Cincy a couple of seasons back.

Crosby Sucks...yeah, ok!!! Love these dips!ts that hold up those signs...

We are bracketed by morons - Philly to the East and Torts and his goons to the West.

One team not in the playoffs, the other to be out shortly.

Hockey doesn't need garbage like Columbus or Philly.

Looking forward to the series with the Capitals.

Yeah your hockey knowledge really shows LOL. What are you, the Giles Meloche of the McAndrew Board? Dictating when its a good idea or not for Fluery to go for the poke check? He's damn good with that poke check and it works for him more often than not. All Atkinson has to do is go forehand-backhand-forehand as he cuts across the crease and he has a wide open 5 hole as Fluery pushes from his left to right in that situation. Which is exactly why he probably went for the poke check. Look, if you want to criticize the guy for having a brain fart for an ill-advised playing of the puck behind his own net (which hasn't done once in this series) that's fine. But you look ridiculously absurd when you criticize a guy who's won a Stanley Cup and is the most winning goalie in franchise history for his technique on trying to make a save on a freaking breakaway.

Nope. If he was so good, we wouldn't be getting rid of him. And we are.

Sorry. It's true. He's mediocre. He's history after this year.

Oh, and that save that "won" us the Stanley Cup? The entire right side of the net was wide open because he slid over instead of covering the angle. Thank God Lidstrom was an old man that year. 5 years earlier and he buries that on the far side.

Don't believe me? Look at a replay. A Grand Cherokee could have fit into that opening.

Classic Pens comeback win. This kid Guentzel....just, wow, he puts pucks, in nets. That's just what he does.

Didn't look like he was hiding to me...had an awful lot of company with him, none of whom were able to hit him. Oh, and he helps his team score a ton of goals from behind that net, so there's that.

You can't HIT what you cannot catch!

No more classic example of this than the Detroit Red Wings - Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup Finals a ways back.

Flower Power!! O ye of little faith. There are 15 teams still playing that would love to have the Pens goaltender depth right now. I don't care about next year, I care about right now and right now, Murray and MAF make up the best goaltending duo in the NHL.

Great win Pens. Columbus really had to have that game to avoid going down 3-0. I expect Pens to either sweep the series or win it, 4-1. Team has to much talent and playoff experience for Columbus. Would be great to see Washington series get drug out and go 7, while we off some off days, should we be able to close out series in next 2 games. And that winning goal, just amazing work by Sid behind the net. He is so cagey in that situation. And he has that special sense, to make that pass.

Should Columbus win Tuesday, me thinks a Thursday road trip to Pitt, and game, might be in the cards.

Lets Go Pens!
