I saw the 2-page spread on Penn State that was posted last week, but just received my magazine yesterday. Don't recall seeing any discussion of his ratings, which are always interesting. He rates Penn State as the 40th best team for this upcoming season. He has 5 of our opponents rated higher than us: OSU, Michigan, Mich. St. and Iowa all in his top 20, and Pitt at 32. All of our remaining opponents are ranked at 56 or worse. So a 7-5 regular season record would be the result if all games were to go according to his power ratings. As we all know, the Pitt game will be an early, and very important, litmus test.

In his unit rankings, he rates our running back corps as the 20th best in the country (2nd best in the B1G, just behind Wiscy); our WRs as the 10th best in the country and best in the B1G; our LBs as the 20th best in the country and 4th in the B1G behind Wiscy, OSU and MSU; and our DBs as only the 36th best in the country and 6th best in the B1G. None of the other units was in the top 40.
