My view - good news. He was a punk towards Joe after the Sandusky issues, and then defended Inky's Bill Conlan for similar activities. And he never attacked Sandusky - just Joe.
- and yes, I know a lot of others did the same, but nonetheless - good riddance. His retirement can't get here fast enough.

The only thing more painful than listening to him speak is listening to his callers, although the show does provide plenty of laughs mostly when Morganti, Keith Jones, Conklin rib him. Its morning talk show radio, if youre looking for serious sports talk in the morning listen to a podcast.

Curious who his replacement will eventually be (Joe DeCamera?)

The sad part is that it is all schtick. He knows what generates ratings -- hence the Paterno angle. He was a very good writer at the Inqy back in the day.

Having him move on is great. Hopefully, he can take his callers with him. They are even worse than he is.

Good riddance, never liked him, just an arrogant mouthpiece who really did not know sports, all noise. On the other hand, another arrogant mouthpiece, Eskin, at least he showed a knowledge of sports.

I stopped listening to WIP in the mid 90’s when callers were suggesting ridiculous Barkley trades. Realized I wasn’t interested in uninformed opinions. I managed to avoid them until I found this board.

Eskin is knowledgeable about sports? Could have fooled me.

My buddy who listens to talk radio said Eskin was ripping on Franklin before the Auburn game. Said he is a fraud and snake oil salesman. Can’t listen to any of them except Morganti on hockey

Eskin HAS ripped on Franklin many times, cause he has no relationship with him. He is a tick, ass kisser, who latches on to someone in power, to suck information from. Back in the day, he didn't like Buddy Ryan, cause Ryan told him to F off...he actually became a Cowboys fan. Then when he could suck off Big Fat, he became an Eagles fan. He never liked PSU, and never will. I'd rather Eskin leave the air, than Cataldi. WIP is missing the boat, they have good hosts, but they never talk anything but Eagles and marginally Phillies. So many PSU fans in the SEPA/NJ region, and they never discuss.

Tried listening to the Cataldi morning show, lasted about a month and just could not take it anymore. Cataldi is a buffoon who only says things for ratings, has no original thought and has no clue about the game or strategy, etc...
